SWAMINATHAN FOUNDATION
SWAMINATHAN FOUNDATION is a registered organization founded to promote the welfare and education of the deprived sections of society.
We strongly believe that social evils can be eliminated, and society can be uplifted only through education. We reach out to deserving students from the most backward parts of the country, providing them with opportunities not only to complete their education but also to transform into confident and socially responsible individuals.
Our motto is “Born to Serve.” From Chennai, Tamil Nadu, we extend our services across India.
We serve weaker sections of society, including the poor, economically and socially backward men, women, children, differently-abled individuals, and anyone in need of aid, support, and upliftment, without discrimination based on caste, color, creed, sex, or religion.
THE FOUNDER
S. Edwin Selva Babu is the founder of SWAMINATHAN FOUNDATION. He comes from an economically weak background, where his parents’ income was insufficient to afford proper healthcare and education. This led him to drop out of school at an early age.
Despite facing immense struggles, his compassion for helping the poor and needy only grew stronger. He faced multiple challenges and setbacks in his efforts to assist the less fortunate. However, in the face of adversity, he established this organization to support underprivileged individuals and help them break free from the poverty cycle.

Our mission is to make sure all young people and children get all the support they need, when they need it, no matter what it is.
To create a safe and nurturing environment where every child has access to quality education, healthcare, and emotional well-being. Through holistic care and sustainable initiatives, we aim to empower communities and break the cycle of poverty, ensuring a brighter future for generations to come.

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES
SWAMINATHAN FOUNDATION is powered by volunteers. They are the pillars of our strength, playing a key role in all our initiatives. Many of our projects would not be possible without their continuous support and contributions.
We have a structured selection process to ensure that volunteers are assigned roles where they can make the most impact. Selected volunteers and mentors undergo a training program before they are deployed to support our various initiatives.
SWAMINATHAN FOUNDATION is a participatory movement, bringing together like-minded individuals who wish to help underprivileged people reach their full potential through education. If you are passionate about making a difference in someone’s life, you can contribute by volunteering your time for our initiatives.
